CONFIRMED PERFORMERS

Born in the late sixties to a musical family, Josee learned about the music world from two very different places: her local church and the world of live disco in Montreal.  She began singing in church with her two sisters at 6 years old. Later on following her sister Denyse Brault and her band Forbidden Fruit through the vibrant nightclub scene of Montreal in the late 70’s and early 80’s. She credits her stage abilities to learning from her sister beginning with tambourine on stage with her sister at five years old. Today Josee loves to play percussion of all sorts.
Her early inspirations include singer songwriters like James Taylor and Carol King and later on inspired by blues legends young and old, including Etta James and Beth Hart. Today Josee enjoys a creative life most of the year on her farm in Quebec Canada, and part time in Australia. Travelling around and picking up sounds from various cultures and places allows her to bring a rich world vibe into her original compositions with a folk and blues root.
Today she plays frequently around Montreal with her her long-time band SoulFusion Canada. She also enjoys running jams around the Montreal and Eastern Ontario regions encouraging others to become involved in the ever-growing world musical community.

Tony was first inspired as a teenager by the musical group "The Gypsy Kings," after he had started to learn classical guitar.  Later he heard the music of Flamenco guitar player Paco de Lucia, where he loved the power, the rhythm and feeling of the Flamenco guitar.  So he bought books and a CD from Manuel Granados, a Flamenco teacher in Spain, to learn this style.  Tony eventually went to Spain to take a course with Manuel Granados.  To this day, he continues to study and work with Manuel Granados.  Tony became a teacher and performer in Syria and later in Jordan.  In April 2016, Tony and his family moved to Canada.  He now teaches Classical Flamenco guitar as well as performing throughout the Brockville and Ottawa area.

Local resident Beth Fraser has been a flutist for about 30 years.  She plays with Brockville Community Concert Band and has been in a variety of local groups, as well as guest performer in others.  She was a vocal member of Ottawa Harmonia Choir and has been in Kingston FLutissimo flute ensemble.  She continues her love of music by playing most places when asked.  After 15 years working as a Registered Nurse in long term, palliative and dementia care and realizing the importance of music in these areas, Beth has started a company called Music Enrichment.  she also teaches piano and flute privately in her home studio.
